Our client is a leading European financial group of global stature, employing 205.000 people and operating in 85 countries. The company wanted to restructure its Trade Finance operational activities for its European branches and subsidiaries.

Raven Consulting was asked to conduct the restructuring of those activities as well as the migrations between group entities.

Following challenges were faced during Project set-up and execution phases:

  • Acquiring information involving employees threatened by the changes. Some were personally impacted by this restructuring and whose input had therefore potential put the rest of the project at risk.
  • Encouraging team members to think for the corporate future rather than their personal good while contributing to the process.

The actions conducted were:

  • Identified best ways to address customer needs by analyzing strengths and opportunities of processes in place.
  • Implemented the new Trade Finance Operational structure while promoting constructive cooperation by those who were put at a personal disadvantage with some of the proposed changes.
  • Promoted customer centricity in developing migration methodologies aligned to customer needs and Corporate strategy.
